MANCHESTER-BASED WOMEN SHAKING UP MENTAL HEALTH & WELLBEING IN THE RECRUITMENT WORKPLACE
As a specialist North-West based Manufacturing and Engineering consultancy, White Label Recruitment has formally partnered with Personal Development Coach, Kathy Brooke, to lead the change for wellbeing within the recruitment industry and innovate the way we work in the future.
The collaboration will initially provide our 16-strong employees with ongoing access to 1-2-1 coaching and support as part of the businesses enhanced commitment to making people better within the industry.
The affiliation has been implemented to help individuals overcome hurdles or obstacles they are facing and explore areas of development and progression, both personally and professionally. Since partnering, the added support resource has already resulted in increased productivity, happiness and drive across the business.
White Label’s engineering and manufacturing clients – industries that are integral to the UK’s economic recovery in a post-COVID landscape – are reaping the rewards as a result of the partnership too through the consultant’s knowledge sharing, advice and guidance taking White Label’s mission beyond our immediate industry, and into the wider business landscape.
Louise McMullan, Managing Director of White Label Recruitment, said: “At White Label our vision is clear. We strive to be at the forefront of culture curation, development and wellbeing within the recruitment industry and are committed to creating the very best environment for our consultants. Ultimately, our passion is to make people better!”.
Throughout her 13-year career, Louise has experienced evolution within the recruitment industry but acknowledges that an ongoing requirement for further growth and education regarding employee wellbeing and mental health amongst leaders within the sector, remains.
Statistics show that 76 and 61 per cent of employers do not have a formal strategy in place for employee mental and physical wellbeing needs, respectively. Investing in mental health and wellbeing in the workplace is good for business and productivity; figures released by Mind Charity cites poor mental health as costing the UK economy between £74 billion and £99 billion a year.
It is apparent that employee-centric initiatives are routinely underinvested in, a business attribute Louise is diametrically opposed to at White Label Recruitment.
Louise added: “I am constantly striving to prioritise our people and adopt working practices and implement initiatives often overlooked or seen as non-essential by other businesses within the recruitment industry.”
Personal Development and Communications Coach Kathy Brooke confidently agrees. “It is wonderfully refreshing and inspiring to work with such a forward-thinking, people-focused business!”.
