Senior Design Engineer

The Role

White Label are working with a Leading Engineering company who specialise in Turnkey Mechanical Solutions in South Yorkshire easily accessible from Leeds, Wakefield, Barnsley, Sheffield, Rotherham, Pontefract, Huddersfield.

They are looking to recruit a Senior Design Engineer on a permanent basis and to manage projects from cradle to grave.

This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in new and exciting projects with a company going from strength to strength.

Day to day you will be involved in:

·Concept design solutions for bespoke projects from Tender stage through to commissioning

·Liaise with Junior designers who will complete the detailed design phase

·Liaise with customers, engineers and shop floor staff to ensure the projects hit the right deadlines and timeframes.

·To carry out calculations either by hand or using software to ensure the product can cope with loads & stresses etc.

·Attend site visits to meet with customers.

Experience required:

·5 – 10 years’ design experience within a heavy engineering environment, rotating machinery/equipment

·3D CAD experience

·HNC educated minimum

·Ability to be flexible and communicate easily with internal and external stakeholders.

The salary depends on experience but starts from £40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience + 25 days holiday + pension + private medical + 37 hour week with flexible working.

Working hours are Monday – Thursday 08:30 – 17:00 and Friday 08:30 – 1:30pm with 30 minutes flexible working.
