Project Manager

The Role

My client requires an experienced Project Engineer/Manager to oversee mechanical handling/material handling projects mainly in the pharmaceutical industry. You will need to come from a strong engineering background with a keen eye for problem solving.

The role:

·To launch project initialisation meetings with stakeholders across the business

·Plan all aspects of product development, implementation and product delivery

·Develop the project schedule and agree quality, cost and delivery milestones

·Manage mitigate and communicate risks potential barriers to progression and resource constraints throughout the project lifecycle to all stakeholders

·To manage the cost, quality and delivery from project launch.

·Ensure on time delivery of projects

·Produce weekly reporting as well as coordinating design sign off meetings

·Prepare and report at regular project and stakeholder review meetings to ensure good communication and engagement

Requirements:

·5 years or more experience in Mechanical Engineering.

·5 years or more experience in a Project Engineer/Management role.

·Strong in Microsoft Projects.

·Must have thick skin and be calm under pressure. You may be working on multiple projects at once and it can be stressful.

·Ability to communicate quickly and effectively with different people and stakeholders within the business.

·Proven track record delivering projects ideally in the mechanical handling/pharmaceutical industries.

·Track record overcoming difficult challenges as well as demonstrating being able to demonstrate problem solving ability.

Our client is offering a salary of £35,000-£45,000

Working hours are Monday – Thursday 8:15 – 5:15 and 8:15 – 4pm on Fridays.
